Kathryn Fleisher Awarded Truman Fellowship

Junior Kathryn Fleisher, a double major in GSWS and Political Science, has been awarded a Harry S. Truman Fellowship, which funds 2-3 years of graduate study.

Fleisher plans to graduate in April 2021 and pursue a Master of Public Health degree at Johns Hopkins University.  Fleisher is involved in a number of Pitt organizations and is president of Leading Women of Tomorrow.  In the wake of the Tree of Life shooting, she founded the organization Not My Generation.  At Johns Hopkins, Fleisher will be involved with the Center for Gun Policy and Research.  Read more.
