Max Dosser

Max Dosser is a doctoral candidate in the Communication department. After studying chemistry, film music, and true crime documentaries at Wake Forest University, Max came to Pitt where his research interests turned to speculative fiction, fan studies, and affect studies. His dissertation asks: What is the relationship between the affective attachments fans have to speculative fiction and the logic of violence/exclusion? Max is the co-founder and editor of the speculative fiction literary magazine Flash Point SF.
